Overview
The Video Editing Certificate program offers a comprehensive education in digital video editing, effects, and motion graphics for digital artists who wish to acquire expert level skills in editing videos and applying effects. Through this program, students will learn how to use software such as Premiere Pro and After Effects in the video, television, and broadcasting industries.
The program at JIT is a hands-on learning experience that combines the theoretical principles of video editing with practical skills using modern video editing tools like Premiere Pro and After Effects. The curriculum is designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge through hands-on projects in small group classes. With a class size of 10 students per course, students receive personalized attention and work closely with their instructors throughout the program.

In the second year of the Video Coverage and Editing program at Japhson Institute of Technology, students will build on the foundational skills learned in the first year and further their knowledge in video post-production, sound design, video editing, special effects and motion graphics, and legal and ethical issues in video production. They will also have the opportunity to work on a video production project and learn about career preparation in the field, as well as be introduced to marketing and advertising. These courses aim to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the video production industry and be well-prepared for their future careers.

Requirments
1. WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS
Credits in three (3) SSSCE /WASSCE Core Subjects: (Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science) plus three (3) credits in the Elective Subjects with an aggregate score of 24 or 36 respectively.
2. ‘A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS
Applicants should have Five (5) Credits at ‘O’ Level including Mathematics and English Language. They should also have (two) 2 passes at ‘A’ Level in Mathematics, and other two electives.
3. MATURE APPLICANTS
Applicants must be 25 years at the time of submitting the application. Must have either Five credits at the “O” Level including Mathematics, English Language, and any other two electives OR WASSCE/SSSCE credits in three (3) Core Subjects (Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science), plus credits in any three (3) Elective Subjects (.
4. INTERNATIONAL BACCALAURETTE
Applicants must have science background (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, etc.) They must obtain a distinction, credit or pass as decided by the jury. They should also be proficient in English. This is checked through written exams, verbal interview and certification from a recognized language institution.
